Blog Post: “Is Hell Simply Separation from God?”

There is something called the Problem of Hell. It goes a bit like this:

1. Hell is a place of eternal punishment and torture.
2. God is all-loving and all-good.
3. A God that has these properties (from 2) would not send people to Hell.
4. Therefore, either Hell does not exist or God does not exist.

  1. I’m not sure what Hell is and don’t care to be sure of what Hell is but examining your “Problem of Hell”, yes God will send loved ones to Hell.
Just as a parent so dearly love their child, a parent will also punish, cut-off or even banish from the home an out of control child. Why can’t God (not a man in the sky) do the same?
The Bible was written for simple minded man, things are described so our small brains can comprehend. For example, to describe Heaven as the most wonderful of wonderfuls, what better way than to decribe it with streets of gold, mansions and pearly gates. We get that. It should be known there’s no gold in Heaven because no-one has lived to tell us there is.

  2. What if, in being in heaven certain ones who don’t understand Gods love feel uncomfortable. They separate themselves in amongst heaven. So to re-craft them into vessels that can receive that love, God sends them on an adventurous journey to teach them certain things? And the sending of them away for a time is a loving act?
