Yes, the gun nuts won’t even act on the “causes” they themselves ascribe to the mass shootings–mental illness being a big one. Truly, Jeb! voiced the most specious of their attitudes on all this with his “stuff happens.” You know, like inequality. Or, they say we don’t really know why these people do what they do or how this happens but then block research into gun violence. They don’t really want a solution — other than their prayers — because as we all know, they are not scientists but theologians.
