The term “atheist” describes a person who does not believe that God or a divine being exists. Worldwide there may be as many as a billion atheists, although social stigma, political pressure, and intolerance make accurate polling difficult.
We are a superstitious, hyper-religious, intellectually backwards people at this point.
In America you’re allowed to justify almost any kind of bigotry, sexism, or intolerance if you source it to God’s big book of bad ideas.
The entire Republican argument about corporate taxes is wrong. Lower taxes don’t translate into savings for the consumers. They translate into more profits for the corporation.

One may only look forward to the day that Antitheists realize the long overdue humanitarian need to eradicate the malignancies of religion that blight mankind, with the ultimate day seeing the world consign religion to its rightful place in the dark ages of history, for it deserves no less.

It is easy to fall into the trap of believing that the silver bullet lies somewhere between two extremes. However, history is replete with examples where, in fact, the proper solution lies on one extreme or the other, e.g. slavery, religious persecution, women’s suffrage, etc. All opinions are not equally rational, and irrational opinions should not be given a platform of argument with those opinions that are rational. The discerning mind will recognize the difference.

The U.S. should concentrate less on competition, and more on contemplation. It should be less reactive, and more reflective.
