  1. Beware the person who starts off: “I am not usually a conspiracy theorist.” This is typically followed by a conspiracy theory, much like the Clinotonistas in 2008 re: Obama. Not sure what he means by Bernie sweeping the polls with the recent HuffPost/You Gov survey claiming: “A 55 percent majority of registered Democratic voters who watched the debate said Clinton won.”

We all know that Bernie has cornered the passion market of those really angry over the blatant stupidity and cruelty of the now radically conservative GOP and Bernie is the guy that is forcing, demanding America talk about inequality and Wall Street greed. That passion for Sanders was seen on social media in the wake of the debate and was to be expected and now a host of conspiracy theories. Of course, that’s what it takes today to keep the click-meter going and the advertising that follows upon it.

But come on guys, it was just one debate for crying out loud and both Sanders and Clinton did EXACTLY what they set out to do. Bernie had to come off as presidential, not just your crazy old uncle ranting at the Sunday dinner table. He had to make sense and had to be convincing and he did all of those things. He was a pleasure to watch. He can always open up on Hillary later if this thing really tightens. There’s plenty of time for him to get done what he has to get done.

Clinton, perhaps to the surprise and dismay of Kulinski, did really well too. She did not look like a candidate running from anyone. She also looked presidential, made sense, knew her stuff, and evokes an agenda that was not that different from Sanders. As an aside, Sanders has got to come up with a stronger position on guns than “it’s complicated.” It is, in fact, complicated but America does not do complicated.

So both won and–hopefully–we will be able to soon get rid of Chaffee and Webb and maybe even O’Malley (who I admit I don’t know much about really) and then we start to have some meaningful discourse between Sanders and Clinton.

Don’t let’s fall for the Fox echo chamber which is bound and determined to present Clinton as something dark, evil, and constantly calculating. This woman has been through a lot and is still standing. I think some of us have managed, as much as we hate Fox news, to let their besmirching of Clinton get into their own heads. I agree with Bernie–I’m tired of hearing about her damned emails.

Let’s just spectate for awhile, get the lay of the Sanders/Clinton political dynamic and then move forward to soundly defeat any of the turds up on the GOP stage. Please. If we fall into conspiracy-weaving, one of those turds is going to command the last branch of government we have a reasonable chance of winning.
