  1. Intrestingly enough, for the readers as the author has already heard this, but yes, the “establishment clause” (the seperation of church and state statement) was not in the bill of rights until 1802 at the behest of the Danburry Baptist Chruch.

In the spirit of these great believers, I think we need to get the government out of our religion. I think we need to tell a nation that doesn’t believe in our God, to stop using our God as an excuse for thier behavior. I agree, take out “In God we Trust” because America can no longer say this honestly!

Should we not fear communism. I agree, the principles are good(ish) as per Acts 2. However, the manifestations of it have been very frightening.

    • To be clear, the “establishment clause” contained in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution was adopted on December 15, 1791. Thomas Jefferson’s letter to the Danburry Baptist Chruch, that advocated for the “building a wall of separation between Church & State,” was penned on January 1, 1802.
