The Israelification of America’s security apparatus, recently unleashed in full force against the Occupy Wall Street Movement, has taken place at every level of law enforcement, and in areas that have yet to be exposed. The phenomenon has been documented in bits and pieces, through occasional news reports that typically highlight Israel’s national security prowess without examining the problematic nature of working with a country accused of grave human rights abuses. But it has never been the subject of a national discussion. And collaboration between American and Israeli cops is just the tip of the iceberg. . . Revelations like these have raised serious questions about the extent to which Israeli-inspired tactics are being used to suppress the Occupy movement. . . the Israelification of American law enforcement appears to have intensified police hostility towards the civilian population, blurring the lines between protesters, common criminals, and terrorists.
jonolan,
Certainly an ad hominem attack on my intelligence is the obvious answer. Please excuse my ignorance for overlooking the obvious. When people choose to exercise their first amendment right without incoherent, and misspelled signs of bigotry expressed toward the President of the country that they profess such a “belief and love for,” then clearly they “want to destroy it by fundamentally changing it into something unrecognizable.”
You are correct in that police “response would have to vary according to what actions they themselves took.” However, stating that, “At the minimum, the laws governing proper use of facilities and not disrupting business should be ruthlessly enforced,” gives an implication of profit over people. Of course, that was probably a mistake of inference, not implication on my part. That goes back to sentence two of paragraph one. If so, please sir, accept my apology in advance.
“In those cases where they try to damage businesses and property, they should be treated as the insurrectionists they are and immediate armed force should be brought to bear upon them.” So now you are equating “damage businesses and property” to an insurrection, i.e., the act or an instance of open revolt against civil authority or a constituted government. Again, we must go back to sentence two of paragraph one, because of my ignorance, I am failing to make the connection between a private business and a civil authority or a constituted government. Please kind sir, be patient, and once again excuse my ignorance, if you will.
“Lets see these rabble try to close the Pacific ports in the face of Strykers and Apaches.” Wow! I don’t know much about those Stryker things; however, I did retire from U.S. Army Aviation after twenty-three years of service, and I just so happened to have been an Apache pilot. I also graduated distinguished graduate in flight school, but for some reason, maybe it has to do with sentence two of paragraph one, I do not recall the block of instruction that covered attacking U.S. citizens with the most lethal attack helicopter on planet earth for exercising their first amendment rights.
Oh, and by the way. Sadly, I must admit, that I also served three years of my life in a combat zone, and I never once fought for your, or an other American’s, freedom or democracy. No sir, all I ever fought for was the right for Multinational Corporations to exploit foreign resources and labor at the expense of U.S. blood, and treasure.
But there is a good ending to this harsh reality called truth. Some, persons like you not included, are starting wake up, and do something about it. Some are out in the streets all over the world, each and every day, now fighting for our freedom and democracy. These people are known as the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protesters. Not only are they fighting for their future, and our future, but you know what else they are fighting for, well, it could be said they are fighting for the “belief and love for one’s country instead of love for those who want to destroy it by fundamentally changing it into something unrecognizable.”

By their own actions the filth in the OWS mobs have already blurred the lines between protesters, common criminals, and terrorists. It behooves all true Americans, especially law enforcement and the military (National Guard) to treat them accordingly.
jonolan,
Please sir, if you would be so kind, enlighten me. What exactly is a “true American?” Additionally, how would you propose that the “law enforcement and the military (National Guard) treat the filth in the OWS mobs accordingly?”
In Reason,
Madison
I can’t properly answer your first question because, if you have to ask, you won’t understand the answer. It really comes down to belief and love for one’s country instead of love for those who want to destroy it by fundamentally changing it into something unrecognizable.
As for the OWS rabble – The response would have to vary according to what actions they themselves took. At the minimum, the laws governing proper use of facilities and not disrupting business should be ruthlessly enforced.
In those cases where OWS responds with resistance and violence, all necessary force, up to and including live ammo should be used. In those cases where they try to damage businesses and property, they should be treated as the insurrectionists they are and immediate armed force should be brought to bear upon them.
Lets see these rabble try to close the Pacific ports in the face of Strykers and Apaches. 😉
Conversely, in any occasion (and there have been a few) where they’re abiding by the laws they should be dealt with by the law ONLY as it regards providing for THEIR safety.
