Farewell, great voice. Great voice of reason, of humanity, of humour. Great voice against can’t, against hypocrisy, against obscurantism and pretension, against all tyrants including God. Farewell, great warrior. You were in a foxhole, Hitch, and you did not flinch. Farewell, great example to us all.

Sarah,
Thanks for the comment.
One could spend a lifetime posting the treasures left to us by Christopher Hitchens. Feel free to reblog anything you like from my blog, especially relating to Christopher Hitchens.

I don’t usually reblog (and this will be my last Christopher Hitchens related post) but I like this one…
Did you know that Hitchens was opposed to surgical abortions? Obviously not for religious reasons… and as a “Great voice of reason” shouldn’t you at least consider what he had to say on the topic?

Maura,
Here’s the thing about “Great voice[s] of reason,” they do consider what others have to say, but that does not obligate them to agree with others views on said topics.
