Mississippi, I will have you know, leads the nation in many categories. Multiple surveys confirm it is the most religious state in the nation. It also leads the nation in teen pregnancies. It also stands out for have the worst health care system in the nation and the lowest per capita income of the states. Maybe the clocks there are set further back than 200 years–that’s a slur on the character of folks living 200 years ago.
