Not standing to ‘honor’ the troops being recognized at the game is tantamount to not standing to sing a hymn in church–sure to garner glares. Hmmmm, must be some parallels here–rituals, religion, military, violent sports… But, of course, as one of our religious books says, there is no compulsion in religion.
