Alito rued a “new orthodoxy” that will constrain bigotry and oppress the white wing nuts. Too bad,we were oppressed by the “old orthodoxy” for centuries if not millennia… your turn! Roberts said the question was not even a constitutional one–so why did the conservatives want to take a whack at it? Thought they might win in SCOTUS because they were sure losing culturally.
