John McCain is simply another version of Donald Trump, someone who long ago lost any interest in statesmanship or thoughtful policy, but can be counted on for saying something outrageous enough to make the news. In fact, he is probably jealous that Trump has currently replaced him as the media’s default source for outrageous, off-the-cuff reactions to pretty much anything.
When assessing Worst Presidents, the list will always be dominated by Republicans like George W. Bush, Richard M. Nixon, and Warren G. Harding. And, if he had actually won in 2008, I am sure we would be adding John McCain to the list.
