Quote: PZ Myers

Paul Zachary “PZ” Myers (born March 9, 1957)
Associate Professor of Biology at the University of Minnesota Morris, Author of the Pharyngula Freethought Blog, Public Critic of Intelligent Design, and Outspoken Atheist

It seems to be an obligatory opinion of people who believe in mockable and ridiculous things that they will oppose mockery and ridicule. I’m afraid there is no magical exemption — there isn’t a set of stupid beliefs that you get to set on a pedestal and declare that no one can call them stupid.

  2. You laugh at the righteousness judgement of God because you are stupid and reckless. But if you are dumb enough try to call God’s opinion about your sin “stupid” at the Great White Throne, he’d have you hacked into a thousand pieces and thrown into the lake of fire before you got anywhere near the second syllable. And that’s when God will enjoy having the last laugh:
“I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;” Proverbs 1:26.
“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.” Psalm 2:4.
“But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.” Psalm 59:8.
    You’ve been warned.

    • mackquigley,

I do not recall a reference to God in the quote. Do you have a guilty conscience, or is it that you just know that you have a set of beliefs that are stupid, and deserving of mockery and ridicule? I am guessing it is more the latter than the former considering the hate, and venom with which you spew your obviously sub-literate, self-righteous, bronze-aged philistine mentality.

Also, apparently you failed to read the about page to this blog, particularly the part that reads, “This blog is for the well-informed, and well-read with an independence of mind that place a high value on reason, critical thought, and general intellectualism.” You failed miserably on all counts. In the future, please reserve the depths of your lowbrow intellect to share with your fellow Believers.

I will not tolerate the hate, and idle threats from you, and the likes of your ilk. I Remain!

      In Reason,
      Madison

      • Bronze age myth is evolution via Anaximander, Anaximedes, and Thales. But a blithering moron like you isn’t expected to know that.
        See yah.
