Science can destroy religion by ignoring it as well as by disproving its tenets. No one ever demonstrated, so far as I am aware, the nonexistence of Zeus or Thor – but they have few followers now.

There is simply not enough time in a day, or in my life actually, to pay one moment’s attention to god, the concept of god, or those who choose to believe in such. I won’t argue, or debate, it’s a useless exercise, the equivalent of arguing with a child over the existence of faeries. The only difference is I encourage the child to use his imagination, dream of impossibilities, knowing that as he grows and learns he will discover things far more wonderful than make-believe, he’ll discover the true wonders of the universe. With religion this growth never happens, the imagination is crushed, stifled, stagnated.
Besides, when it comes to arguing with religion and the existence of gods….there are others who do it far, FAR, better than I ever could…and I’ll applaud as they carry on.
A truly great scientist/thinker,years ahead of his ‘time’.

A truly brilliant thinker, and one of my very favorite authors. He is missed! 😀
