I’m not entirely clear what is being said here; the quote seems to be missing some context. Is the “us” referring to atheists, agnostics, and the ‘religiously unaffiliated’, or to literally everyone. More “important” in what context exactly–vital or important to secularism, more important in society at large? Just saying’ it’s not clear what is meant on its own.
I think the “us” is referring to atheist, agnostics (which has nothing to do with belief) and the ‘religiously unaffiliated,’ for one: the quote comes from an atheist, and two: secularism is the irrationals worst nightmare.
