An amazing interview on so many levels I can only touch upon a couple here. First, I have come to realize that liberal comics (Stewart, Oliver, Maher) are the only ones today willing to call out the brazen duplicity of conservative politicos. Huckabee came prepared with a bunch of cute phrases about “bubbleville” and “bubba” and thought he could aw shucks his way through this interview but Stewart unrelentingly called him on his duplicity, especially his ironic approval of the human slime that is Ted Nugent while recoiling at the horror he perceives in Beyonce. Notice his distinction between people who are “well-educated,” while it was others, his tribe, that were “smart”. Really, is there a Bubbleville bigger than Fox News, populated as it is by bubbas and bubbles.?
I was born and raised in “Bubbaville,” i.e., the Deep South—and I assure you—they are neither well educated nor smart.
