  1. As long as I’m posting comments: what have we not gained (and will never gain) in the two years since Obamacare was enacted?

    – Any sort of cost control over health insurance costs
    – Expanded abortion coverage
    – Any sort of universal coverage like they have in, oh, every single other first-world country

The “gains” in the last two years will automatically be more than wiped out in the next couple of decades; by 2032 health insurance is basically going to be unaffordable for anyone but the very rich, and it’s because Obamacare (and, incidentally, I hate that term; Obama may have saddled us with it, but it’s really Romney’s baby) was designed to make insurers happy rather than actually solving any problems. If we had any sense in this country, Washington D.C. would be beset by a mob of citizens with torches and pitchforks who wouldn’t leave until we had single-payer.

But let me guess: we are supposed to shut up and pretend there are no problems because “Romney would be even worse”. Even the Democratic Party fundraisers on the phone are resorting to that now, because it’s so obvious that Obama has been a disaster to anyone who actually cares about the things he campaigned on last time.
