Very interesting and tends to explain a lot about western obsessions with self, what we are thinking, what we are ‘feeling’, etc. Also suggests why westerners are likely to fixate on Free Will and believe they have it. At the same time, it’s also helpful to remember that these are general properties we recognize in eastern and western dispositions and philosophy. As as eastern philosopher might say, they do not exist in separate realms, they reach out and interact.
