1. Religiosity is on the wane because, increasingly, people recognize the BIG LIE perpetuated by Christianity; that Christianity, as practiced, is nothing like what it purports to be–egalitarian, socially just, compassionate, accepting, forgiving. The unvarnished hatred, triablism, and racism now spewing out of Christianity’s loudest voices is nothing like the Jesus model of the New Testament. After a while, thinking individuals just cannot live with and within this deplorable lie.
