Always Question Authority 
I think Lucas was right in countering Moyer’s suggestion that the Star Wars movies essentially created a new mythology, by averring that the movies really were tapping into ancient mythologies about fathers and sons, the constant struggle against injustice, etc., but simply in a new framework and medium. Other than that, however, I found Lucas, a smart guy, not especially coherent in this interview on the relationship of his movies to ancient mythologies, religion, spirituality. What was he referring to when he alluded to the Great Mystery–his name for God? Kinda sounds deistic since he proclaims some kind of all-encompassing God but seems reluctant to put any specific form on this deity. Don’t really care, the dude makes some cool movies.
