Political Research Associates estimates that, at any given time in our history, roughly 10-12 percent of the country’s population has been bred-in-the-bone right-wing authoritarians — the people who are hard-wired to think in terms of fascist control and order. Our latter-day Christian Dominionists, sexual fundamentalists and white nationalists are the descendants — sometimes, the literal blood descendants — of the same people who joined the KKK in the 1920s, followed Father Coughlin in the 1930s, backed Joe McCarthy in the early ’50s, joined the John Birch society in the ’60s, and signed up for the Moral Majority in the 1970s and the Christian Coalition in the 1990s.

The conservatives know that the demographic trends are not on their side, and that whatever limited advantages they enjoy now are receding with every election cycle that passes. Right-wing America is old, white, rural, and religious — a cohort that’s shrinking with every passing year, and is even now in the process of being swamped by a tide of voters who are younger, urban, ethnically diverse, and largely non-churchgoing.

All pollimg data available indicates the opposite insofar as political theory trends. Those younger, urban, ethnically diverse, and largely non-churchgoing potential voters are trending more and more rightward – because much of that political philosophy resonates with them because they’re Americans, not Liberals or their minority tenants.
All polling data? Now we all know that is not true don’t we? Again, how about some valid extraordinary supporting references for the extraordinary claim.

That is not how adults argue. In a rational argument, the burden of proof falls on the person asserting a claim. Currently, your claim is baseless, and is not worthy of consideration for either belief or disbelief. When you are ready to argue like an adult, we rational adults will gladly welcome you to the adult table. Until then enjoy your well earned seat at the children’s table.

As the poster of the article, you’re the one making an assertion. The onus is, by your standards, upon you as opposed to me.
But, in any event, “cite your sources!” is not the way adults of reason argue. It’s just another cheap ploy people use to silence opposition, normally followed by the attacking the sources’ credibility if such are provided.

…which is why a system to make sure that dissent from the status quo can be utterly obliterated as soon as humanly possible is more or less complete.
Let’s see… just going by things which have already happened, the Powers That Be can monitor your calls, your e-mails, and your every move including everywhere you travel by car starting with all new cars in 2015. If you try to speak out, they can put you in a remote “Free Speech Zone” or just have you quietly removed. You can be held without being charged more or less indefinitely, they can withhold your medications while you are held, you can be held in solitary confinement without a trial for years, you can be pronounced guilty by the President prior to your trial, the President can declare you an “illegal combatant” and have you detained or even killed, or you can just be blown up by a bomb and declared retroactively to have been a terrorist sympathizer.
Trust me: by the time the Bubba contingent can no longer turn out a majority at the polls, the polls won’t matter any more.
