From my research I firmly believe the major contributor to belief in the supernatural is people exposed to Menticide, which, put simply, is indoctrination, brainwashing and inculcation from a very young age and, put bluntly, child abuse. It is obviously very powerful the images placed in a youngsters mind during development and most often, is not thrown off in their adult years, so end up falling into the clever/stupid category!
