An Excerpt from George Carlin on Charlie Rose: 3-26-1996 To those incensed by the intentional inaccuracy of the title: This is not George Carlin literally speaking about the 2016 election 8.5 years after his death, but his outlook on his life and creativity can be applicable to today’s grueling social divide. Maybe you disagree and I respect that. I’ll admit it’s cynical as fuck. This is also not posthumously assigning Carlin to a modern candidate. He claimed that he didn’t vote and he never publicly supported any politician. This was posted before the election. It’s not intended as a left/right thing, and I didn’t monetize it. I’m not selling anything. I posted it to get your attention in case it could inspire some calm in shaky times.

Introversion and extraversion are terms first coined by psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung in Switzerland of the 1920’s. According to Jung, an extravert seeks intensive contact with the outside world. An introvert instead turns the psychic energy inwards. Jung believed that no one is 100% extravert or 100% introvert instead we carry both traits. However most minds tend lean either on one side or the other. If both characteristics are equally present, we can speak of someone who has has an ambivert personality.

ABRAHAMIC CHURCHES: “One-fifth of All Dutch Churches Are Now Secular Buildings” ☮

At least one-fifth of the Netherlands’ 6,900 church buildings have been converted for secular use, a national Dutch newspaper reports ― and hundreds more are expected to follow suit in the coming years.

About 25% of Dutch churches built between 1800 and 1970 are now being used for nonreligious purposes, including as apartment complexes, offices and cultural centers, according to an investigation published by the Trouw in June. Around 20% of Dutch churches built before 1800 have also been redesigned, most often finding new life as community centers, museums or theaters.
